About

Ashferry is a small bindery in Porto, working since 2016.

The bindery is a long room with a nipping press, a guillotine older than all of us, and a wall of finishing tools.

Most work comes from people with one book that matters to them: a grandmother's cookbook, a school prize, a first edition held together with tape.

We also make blank books and journals, which pay for the time spent on difficult repairs.
